Discover Cambodia: From Angkor Wat to Island Escapes
Watching the sun rise behind Angkor Wat is a moment worth waking up early for. As its towers emerge against the morning sky, you begin to appreciate the scale of this extraordinary place.

But Cambodia has plenty more to discover, from lively markets and riverside towns to beaches where you can slow down and enjoy the view.
Explore the temples of Angkor
Built in the 12th century, Angkor Wat was originally a Hindu temple before becoming a Buddhist place of worship. Take time to explore its galleries and detailed carvings, ideally with a guide who can share the stories behind them.

Nearby, discover the huge stone faces of Bayon and the tangled tree roots spreading across the ruins of Ta Prohm. Leave yourself time between temples to rest and take it all in.
Discover Phnom Penh

Cambodia’s capital combines the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda with busy markets and walks beside the river. Stop for a coffee, browse the stalls and try something new for lunch.
For a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s recent history, the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum offers a moving account of life under the Khmer Rouge. Allow time to reflect after your visit.
Slow down in Kampot
Head to Kampot for riverside views and a gentler pace. Explore the countryside, visit a pepper farm or settle into a café for an unhurried afternoon.

Nearby Kep is known for its crab and seafood, a good reason to linger over lunch by the water.
Enjoy a taste of Cambodia
Look out for fish amok, made with coconut milk and aromatic spices, often steamed in banana leaves. A cooking class or guided market visit is a lovely way to discover local ingredients and bring a little of your holiday home.
Finish beside the sea

Round off your trip on Koh Rong or Koh Rong Samloem. After days of sightseeing, a swim, a good book and a shady spot on the beach might be exactly what you need.
From your first temple sunrise to your last evening by the sea, Cambodia gives you plenty to remember.
