For a travel agent, there’s nothing more powerful than personal experience. So when I had the opportunity to join our partners at VIVA Cruises for a FAM trip aboard the stunning Viva Enjoy, I jumped at the chance.
This trip was a deep dive into VIVA’s modern fleet, seamless all-inclusive service, and the vibrant destinations it sails to. Over four days, I was completely immersed in the product. From the spacious cabins and exceptional dining at the Moments restaurant to exploring the historic streets of Utrecht and Ghent, every moment reinforced why VIVA is a must-sell for our agents.
I am thrilled to share my day-by-day experience and provide you with a first-hand look at what you can expect when you book your clients with VIVA Cruises. I hope it gives you the knowledge and confidence to sell this fantastic brand!

Day 1 – Boarding Viva Enjoy in Amsterdam.
We have all arrived around 6pm and were very quickly checked in. My cabin was spacious and comfortable with a lovely big sliding window that allowed me to look out every day and see the views. Bathroom was surprisingly roomy with very nice toiletries by Rituals.

We then gathered at the main bar of Viva Enjoy. We were greeted with welcome cocktails and guided to a group table big enough to accommodate us all. The wait staff were super attentive and made sure we all had drinks. The bar is very nicely furnished with panoramic views of the surroundings.

That night we had a reservation at Moments – the reservation only restaurant , to sample their menu.
We all enjoyed it a lot, intimate atmosphere, quick service and attention to detail. All dishes were fabulous and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We got to try numerous dishes on the large menu and they were all fantastic – very fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection.

Just a few of the amazing dishes we got to enjoy during our experience onboard
Day 2 – Utrecht

Breakfast – we have split up and taken advantage of the Riverside breakfast as well at the Moments buffet – both amazing. The choices were plentiful with dishes made to order as well as a buffet with fresh eggs, salads and fruit.
We have docked in the morning which meant those who reserved the bicycles could take off to explore the city. Some of us used UBER or walked around. The docking position allowed for a lovely walk alongside the river and we had plenty of time that day to explore.
We had a lovely lunch and dinner at Viva Bistro that was a little more casual but still very good quality. The restaurant has a slightly smaller menu but allows for a more relaxed setting with a limited number of tables.

Day 3 – Ghent

Some of our group have taken interest in the watercolour painting after breakfast which I have heard was good fun. The artwork was then displayed in the main bar for guests to admire.
We had a great meeting in the main lounge to discuss the day activities as well as various itineraries that Viva offers,. We also had an excursion booked in the afternoon to see Ghent.
The excursion was fantastic – the guide was funny and knowledgeable. It was around a 2hr walking tour plus a 45 min boat ride. Both were good fun and time flew to be honest – we got to see the main points of attraction in town and were explained their history.

We then got back to the boat and enjoyed dinner at Moments again. The menu was different this time and dishes had a modern twist. Safe to say we have eaten too much!
We also spend few hours at the main bar as there was live entertainment that we all enjoyed a lot – the bar tends to have some kind of entertainment every night which included Rock night as well as Motown evening. They were all a lot of fun and the singers entertaining.
Day 4 – Brussels
We have docked in the morning and most of us have left to catch our train/flight. However – the ship staff were most accommodating and allowed some to stay past midday.
Again, I can not stress how well the staff were trained – at no point we were left without drink or food, they constantly checked on us. Same goes to room service – exceptional and fast.
Ships facilities were very well maintained – from the top deck that offered outdoor sitting as well as a plunge pool, to the main bar where guests tended to spend their free time watching the world go by as we sailed.
The ship has a gym and spa that were good in size and never seemed to busy.
